Fonix ransomware shuts down their operations, releases master decryption key

Fonix ransomware also known as Xonif and FonixCrypter has been active since June 2020 and has been steadily increasing the number of encrypted machines. Yesterday Fonix has released a statement on ransomware getting shut down and made master decryption key and their own decryption tool public. The master key was proven to be working, but only for some version of the ransomware, however the released decryption tool can only decrypt one file simultaneously and crashes often.
