Disable Edge Legacy Search Suggestions in Address Bar

How to apply this tweak manually:

  1. Press Win + R, type "regedit.exe" and press Enter.
  2. Then go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\
    Microsoft\MicrosoftEdge\SearchScopes     key.
  3. Double click it and create/change the value "ShowSearchSuggestionsGlobal" (type DWORD) to 0.

  4. Setting for current user:

    Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Classes\
    Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\
    Windows\CurrentVersion\AppContainer\
    Storage\microsoft.microsoftedge_8wekyb3d8bbwe\
    MicrosoftEdge\Main     key.

  5. Double click it and create/change the value "ShowSearchSuggestionsGlobal" (type DWORD) to 0.
