LostTrust Ransomware Is A Rebrand Of MetaEncryptor, Operating Worldwide

The LostTrust ransomware operation is suspected to have rebranded from MetaEncryptor, employing nearly identical data leak sites and encryption methods. LostTrust initiated its attacks on organizations in March 2023, but it didn't gain significant attention until September when it started employing a data leak platform. As of now, the data leak website displays 53 victims from around the world, and some have already had their data exposed due to non-payment of the ransom.
