says there's a suspicious file in the tray icon but can't find it

Question

I was using malware scan and even says the system is clean on completion, even though it still appears in the system tray. I will run the full scan, but if it already knows something suspicious is there, would expect it to find that too, and even ask me to deal with it before starting a new scan.
