Bitdefender Released MortalKombat Ransomware Decryptor

Cybersecurity company Bitdefender released a free decryptor for MortalKombat ransomware. MortalKombat's regular distribution method is via phishing emails containing infected ZIP attachments with  BAT loader scripts which inject the ransomware into the system. Since MortalKombat is based on Xorist a commodity ransomware family which was decrypted in 2016, the free decryptor likely came faster than normal. Read more...
