Microsoft Enables Additional Cloud Logging Data Due To Exchange Hack

Microsoft is expanding free access to additional cloud logging data worldwide to aid in detecting breached networks and accounts. This decision was prompted by Chinese hackers stealing a Microsoft signing key, allowing them to breach corporate and government Microsoft Exchange and Microsoft 365 accounts for email theft. The US government, who discovered the attacks, used Microsoft's advanced logging data to detect the intrusions and report them.
