Microsoft is expanding free access to additional cloud logging data worldwide to aid in detecting breached networks and accounts. This decision was prompted by Chinese hackers stealing a Microsoft signing key, allowing them to breach corporate and government Microsoft Exchange and Microsoft 365 accounts for email theft.
