How to Enable Classic Context Menu in Windows 11?

!When you right-click on a file or folder in Windows 11, a different context menu is used than the usual one.

Of course, you can still open the classic context menu by selecting Show advanced options from the list or using the keyboard shortcut Shift+F10.

If you want to see the classic menu by default, follow our instructions.

To enable classic context menu in Windows 11, just follow the next steps:

  1. First, use the Win + R shortcut to launch the registry editor by running regedit.
  2. In the registry editor that opens, go to the section HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\CLSID and find or create, if it does not exist, the subsection {86ca1aa0-34aa-4e8b-a509-50c905bae2a2}.
  3. In the subsection from the previous step, create the subsection InprocServer32.
  4. After going to this subsection in the left pane of the editor, in the right pane, double-click on the value Default and, without changing the value, click Ok.
  5. For the changes to take effect, all that remains is to reboot your computer.
