If you want to change the default location for saving screenshots, follow the procedure described in the article.
To change screenshot folder in Windows 11, just follow the next steps:
- The first method is standard.
In Explorer, find the Pictures folder, right-click on the Screenshots folder and select Properties.
In the window that appears, on the Location tab, click Move and select the folder where your screenshots will now be saved.
Finally, click Apply and answer the question of whether to move existing screenshots to the new folder.
- For the second method, use the Win + R shortcut and launch the registry editor by executing regedit.
In the launched editor, go to the section HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders.
In the right part of the editor, create a String Value with the name {B7BEDE81-DF94-4682-A7D8-57A52620B86F}, and set it's value to the path for the new folder for screenshots.
In the end, you will need to restart the computer for the changes to take effect.
