Apple Releases Emergency Security Updates to Address a Zero-day Used to Target Macs, Apple Watches
Apple has released emergency security updates to address a zero-day vulnerability to target Macs and Apple Watch devices. The vulnerability is tracked as CVE-2022-22675 and is an out-of-bounds write issue in the AppleAVD that allows apps to execute arbitrary code with kernel privileges. Apple didn't release any data on the attacks, but they did name a list of impacted devices which includes Apple Watch Series 3 or later, Macs running macOS Big Sur, Apple TV 4K, and Apple TV HD.
