Apple removed a feature that allowed its apps to bypass firewalls and VPNs

The controversial macOS feature that allowed 53 Apple apps to bypass firewalls and VPNs installed by users got removed. The list of the apps in conversation included Apple's biggest apps, like App Store, Maps, and iCloud. The feature was discovered by security researchers last October, and they immediately pointed out that the feature brings big security risk, with Malware latching on to legit Apple apps from the list and being apple to bypass the system security measures.
