Big brands including Xfinity and McAfee abused by Parked domains in Emotet campaign

Parked domains are used to redirect users to other websites, but it is known that those can turn malicious and start redirecting users to unwanted pages, as evidenced by the recent Emotet campaign. The campaign was using election-themed attacks, using known brands such as Comcast and McAfee as a disguise. The purpose of the campaign is to distribute the Emotet trojan, a first-stage malware whose goal is to download even more malware on the victim's device.
