Chrome extension The Great Suspender isn't recommended to use anymore

The Great Suspender is a popular and useful Chrome extension, designed to improve the Google Chrome usage of RAM by suspending tabs manually or automatically. However, after the recent update of the extension, done after it got sold in June 2020, The Great Suspender requests more permissions, makes remote calls and uses a remote analytics script, which raised several red flags from several researchers. The new version of the extension was uploaded to the Chrome Web Store by the new owner, removing objectionable content, but keeping the extra permissions.
