Dutch Ministry Of Defence Breached By Chinese Hackers

A Chinese cyber-espionage group infiltrated the Dutch Ministry of Defence last year, planting malware on devices, as per the Dutch Military Intelligence and Security Service (MIVD). Despite creating backdoors, damage was contained due to network segmentation. MIVD and the General Intelligence and Security Service (AIVD) stated that the breach's impact was minimized because the victim network was separate from wider MOD networks.
