Researchers uncovered two file management apps on Google Play, originating from the same publisher and boasting a combined installation count surpassing 1.5 million. These apps were found to gather extensive user data that exceeded the necessary requirements for their advertised purposes, enabling them to surreptitiously extract sensitive information and transmit it to servers located in China.
