Malicious Chrome and Edge extensions hit over 3,000,000 installs

Malware-laced extensions, found by Avast Threat Intelligence researchers and disguised as a helper add-ons for Instagram, Facebook and Vimeo have recently gone over 3,000,000 installs. Those extensions attempt to steal users' personal data and redirect them to phishing sites. Some of the extensions have survived for more than a year without being deleted. Read more...
