Millions Of Plaintext Passwords Found In The Public Web Due To Incorrectly Configured Firebase Instances

Three cybersecurity researchers uncovered nearly 19 million plaintext passwords exposed on the public internet due to misconfigured Firebase instances, a Google platform for databases, cloud computing, and app development. They scanned over five million domains, discovering 916 websites lacking proper security measures.
