Microsoft gathers data about Windows 10 users to determine if a feature is commonly used, if a change in a feature makes it more useful, or to introduce features to a small test population.
There are users however who consider those data gatherings a breach of privacy and wish to disable them by creating the 'AllowExperimentation' value and setting it to 'o' under the registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\PolicyManager\current\device\System.
Recently Microsoft has fixed performance when playing games using their Known Issue Rollback feature, however, users who had Microsoft's experiments blocked learned that it prevents the feature from installing.
