Top browser makers ban MitM HTTPS certificate

Google, Apple, Microsoft and Mozilla has agreed to ban MitM certificate, used by Kazakhstan government to spy on their citizens by intercepting and decrypting HTTPS traffic. Without installing the certificate, Kazakhstan's citizens were unable to get to sites like Google, Youtube, Twitter and others. According to Kazakhstan's officials, they were carrying out a cybersecurity training exercise for government agencies, telecoms, and private companies, but that explanation doesn't make much sense.
