US Cyber Command warns Microsoft customers to patch their systems to avoid TCP/IP bug

US Cyber Command warns customers to patch their systems as soon as possible to avoid the critical exploitable CVE-2020-16898 vulnerability, that was addressed in Tuesday's patch. This bug can be abused by unauthenticated attackers who send malicious ICMPv6 Router Advertisement packets to a target computer. Microsoft advises customers who can't update their systems immediately to disable the ICMPv6 Recursive DNS Server option using the PowerShell command on systems running Windows 1709 version and later.
