Windows 11 Brings Back Clock in Calendar Flyout with New Customization Options

After years of user feedback, Microsoft is finally restoring a long-missed Windows 10 feature in Windows 11 — the clock in the calendar flyout. First noticed by testers in April, the feature is now officially available in the latest Dev and Beta builds, allowing users to see a larger clock with seconds when the calendar is expanded or collapsed.

Unlike the original Windows 10 version, this updated version includes an option to turn the clock on or off through Settings > Time & Language > Date & Time. Although the update is rolling out gradually, users can enable it early using the ViVeTool utility by running specific commands in Command Prompt.

Despite this improvement, the calendar flyout still lacks advanced functions like agenda integration or event creation, leaving users to rely on third-party tools for a fuller experience. Microsoft’s move marks a small but appreciated step in bringing back features that were inexplicably removed in the Windows 11 transition.
