WordPress Releases Security Update For Websites Running WooCommerce Payments Plugin

Automattic has addressed a critical vulnerability affecting the WooCommerce Payments plugin that allowed attackers to gain admin rights, potentially resulting in a complete website takeover. The affected services were disabled immediately after the flaw was discovered, and according to WooCommerce, there is no evidence of exploiting the vulnerability in the wild.
