New Android Malware Bundle Spotted On Google Play

According to Dr.Web's October review of virus activity, a large set of Android malware, phishing, and adware apps have been spotted on Google Play, combining over 2 million total installs. Most of those apps disguise themselves as legitimate utilities and system optimizers. The most popular app of the set, with a total of over a million installs, is TubeBox, which promises users monetary rewards for watching videos and ads on the app, but, when trying to redeem those rewards, depicts errors.
