PYSA Ransomware Records a 50% Increase of Infection Rate in November, Researchers State

According to security researchers from the NCC group, the number of ransomware attacks increased in November, with government organizations being targeted over 4 times more often than in October.

The most popular ransomware method is still double-extortion and the ransomware group that achieved the biggest increase in infection rate was PYSA ransomware group, also known as Mespinoza.

PYSA first became active in March 2021, with its campaign leading to the FBI publishing an alert on the threat actor's activity.
